Bio Sketch

Professor Robin Jon Hawes Clark is the Sir William Ramsey Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at University College London since 1989, and a former Dean of Science. His research expertise lies in Inorganic Chemistry, in Spectroscopy, and in Studies at the Arts/Science Frontiers; the research having been published in over 400 scientific journals. Lecturing at over 300 institutions spanning 33 countries throughout the world, serving on the Council of the Royal Society and university College London, and the Senate of the University of London, he was elected Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand (1989), a Fellow of the Royal Society and Member of the Academia Europaea (1990), and and a Fellow of University College London (1992).

Recreational activities include golf, long distance walking, travel, bridge, music, theatre, and wine.
